Haven Yoga Studio is dedicated to offering a diverse range of classes and offerings, inclusive of your membership.

We carefully select our teachers and provide space for their creativity, allowing each of our classes to feel special.  We encourage you to connect with our teachers, so that they can create Yoga, Yin, Barre, Mat Pilates and Adult Ballet classes which support you to deepen your practice.  Our Little One and Me Classes have been created to care for babies through 4 years, while you can enjoy practicing a fusion of Yoga and Barre.

Our Kids Yoga Classes offer weekly opportunities for children from 3 years.  Our littlest Yogis are taken care of on Wednesday afternoons, through a play-based approach to Yoga.  Primary school children are welcome to join our Yoga and Barre Class each Thursday afternoon, enjoying interactive and positive approaches to health and wellness.

Our Yoga classes are Vinyasa style and flowing, which is a full body experience.  Our Barre classes are fun, strong and dynamic. We focus on our core, while working through sequences using small ranges of movement designed to target specific areas of the lower and upper body.  

We also offer a range of Gentle Yoga, Slow Flow and Yin Classes, to balance your Yoga and Barre practice, supporting longevity and rejuvenation.

We are delighted to include Mat Pilates into our class offerings, which is a wonderful compliment to each of our Yoga, Yin and Barre classes.  During school terms we are pleased to offer Adult Ballet Classes each week.

Yoga Classes

Our Yoga Classes are carefully created by our amazing teachers.  Most of our Yoga Classes are a Vinyasa flow style, but we encourage our teachers to be creative in their classes.  

Our Yoga Classes may be a faster pass or you may hold poses, creating heat and strength. If you are looking for something more challenging, these classes aim to incorporate a degree of difficulty in either the sequences between poses, in peak poses, or in the endurance holds of some powerhouse poses.

Our Yoga Classes are carefully designed for beginners through to advanced practitioners, so come along and enjoy the fun.

Barre Classes

This 45min class is for anyone who wishes to become stronger and more toned, while having some  fun. Barre is the perfect balance to our Yoga, Yin and Gentle classes, by developing targeted strength and toning to support the flexibility we develop through our Yoga practices.

Our Barre classes are proving very popular, and contrary to popular belief they are not ballet classes. Some of our client feedback includes feeling more confident and with improved posture, and “I thought Barre classes were just ballet and therefore for ladies. It reminds me of my PT sessions in the Army, I will definitely be back.

Yin Classes

Yin Yoga is a simple, passive practice that targets the deeper connective tissues of the body, the fascia, ligaments, joints and bones. It is mainly floor based, coming into a pose, becoming still, relaxing the muscles and holding the pose generally for 3 to 5 minutes. It is meditative and allows us to slow down, recharge and restore balance.

Gentle Classes

Gentle Yoga is a wonderful way to truly stretch out the body and slow down the breath.

Our Gentle Yoga Classes are suitable for everyone.  We move slowly through each pose, offering adjustments to make each one more accessible and comfortable for you.  

Our goal in Gentle Yoga is to feel each pose, then sink a little more deeply in to receive the benefits.  As we flow, our aim is to quieten the mind and slow the breath.  Allowing for Savasana, our final resting pose, to be a blissful experience.

Slow Flow Yoga Classes

Our Slow Flow Yoga classes are carefully designed to to inspire mindful movement.

Our teachers create flows that encourage a deeper awareness of our breath and movement connection.  Slow Flow Classes will move into poses more purposefully, achieving depth in each posture.

Slow Flow is a wonderful choice for those new or returning to Yoga, as well as more advance Yogis seeking the opportunity to dive a little deeper into each pose. 

Mat Pilates Classes

Our Mat Pilates are strengthening classes.  We focus on developing the stabilising muscles found in the core of the body, ensuring strength of muscles in the abdomen and lower back.  

This practice is a wonderful compliment to both Yoga and Barre.  With regular practice, we can lengthen and strengthen our entire body, enhance balance and improve our posture.

 

Little One and Me

Bring your little one (0-4 years old) to class with you and have them participate in the class or simply be at peace. Our Yoga-Barre Fusion Class is not only for mums, we welcome dads, grandparents, godparents and guardians. This playful class builds connection between child and carer.

Our Studio was created by Charmaine, a mum of two, who appreciates the importance of finding time for self-care.  Charmaine wanted to create a space where carers could practice Yoga & Barre, without the added challenge and cost of finding the right someone to care for your child.

Little Yogis
Kids Yoga Classes
For 3 to 5 years

Our playful approach to Kids Yoga is a perfect fit for our littlest Yogis.  These Kids Yoga Classes have been designed to meet the physical and emotional needs of children from 3 years through 6 years.

No Yoga experience required, everyone is welcome in our Kids Yoga Classes.

Term 4 (from week 2, 8 Classes) – Wednedays 3:30-4pm

Yoga with Barre
Kids Yoga Classes
For 5 to 12 Years

Our carefully designed Kids Yoga Classes are fun and engaging, with the use of the Barre for balance and extending stretches.  These classes have been designed to meet the physical and emotional needs of children from 5 years through 12 years (4 year old Preps are also welcome).

No dance or Yoga experience required, everyone is welcome in our Yoga-Barre Fun classes.

Term 4 (from week 2, 8 Classes) – Thursdays 3:30-4pm

Little Yogis

No dance or Yoga experience required, everyone is welcome in our Yoga-Barre Fun classes.

Adult Ballet Classes

Join Laura, Principal of First Pointe Dance for our Adult Ballet Classes.  Laura is a highly accomplished Ballerina, who thoroughly enjoys creating Ballet Classes that inspire, support and lots of fun.

No previous Ballet experience or training required, Laura encourages you to dance from the heart and start your journey into dance with a sense of curiosity and kindness to self.

Our Adult Dance Classes are included in all Haven Yoga Studio memberships (Fridays during school terms).  

Village Vibes Class

This class is only $15 to encourage our Village Community to connect and experience the benefits of Yoga.   Our Village Vibes class profits will be donated to local schools supporting children experiencing trauma.  Village Vibes is free for those with memberships.
